How Images to PDF Conversion Works
When you drop images into LuraPDF, each file is decoded in the browser by the right handler. JPG images are passed straight to pdf-lib's embedJpg(), and PNG images go through embedPng() to keep the alpha channel. WebP, GIF, and BMP are drawn to an HTML canvas and stored as lossless PNG. HEIC photos are decoded by libheif, compiled to WebAssembly, and stored as high-quality JPEG; Safari decodes them natively instead. All decoding happens locally, and no cloud API is called.
Once all images are decoded, pdf-lib creates a new PDF document and adds one page per image in your chosen order.
